From flower to saffron
Harvest and processing
Saffron is harvested by hand during a short seasonal window and processed immediately at origin. Flowers are stripped the same day, with stigmas separated manually and gently toasted using traditional methods. The toasting process is critical, defining aroma, colour and strength. After a controlled resting period, saffron is stabilised and prepared in small batches before being allocated per order.
